Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released notification for the recruitment of Manager / Director, Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer vacancies (49 Post) under Industries and Commerce & Transport Department, Assam. Originally the date of receiving fully filled application form was 31-07-2020. But, due to Covid-19 pandemic, APSC has released another notification dated 20th July 2020 of extending the last date of submission of application form upto 17-08-2020 for Assistant Engineer & Junior Engineer post.

Scale of Pay:
Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/-; PB – 4 with Grade Pay of Rs.14,500/- plus allowances.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree (in any branch of Engineering / Arts / Science / Commerce of a University or any other institution in India or abroad) recognized by the Government for the purpose with minimum of 2nd class honours (Major) in any Specific Subject or distinction in degree course.
- A candidate must hold responsible and Senior Position in the Government Department/Govt. under taking, at least for 8 years out of which 5 years must have been in the rank not below Assistant Director of Industries.
Age:
The candidates should not be less than 30 years of age and not more than 45 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable:
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 50 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 48 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.

- Bachelors Degree (in any branch of Engineering / Arts / Science / Commerce of a University or any other institution in India or abroad) recognized by the Government for the purpose with minimum of 2nd class honours (Major) in any Specific Subject or distinction in degree course.
Experience:
- A candidate must hold responsible and Senior Position in the Government Department/Govt. under taking, at least for 4 years in the rank of Superintendent of Industries or its equivalent post.
Age:
The candidates should not be less than 25 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable-
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 45 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 43 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.

- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree in (Civil/Mechanical) Engineering from a Govt. recognized University/institute approved by the AICTE.
- The Bachelors Degree in Engineering must be a Regular Course. Bachelors Degree in Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents. )
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable -
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.
