NIRF Ranking 2020: Top 20 Engineering Institutes of India

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) outlines a methodology to rank institutions across India. This framework was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015. 

On 11 June, 2020 NIRF released Top 100 Engineering Institute of India. Indian Institute of Technology Madras topped the list with a score of 89.93.

Top 20 Engineering Institutes of India are as follows:

        1.    Indian Institute of Technology Madras - 89.93

        2.    Indian Institute of Technology Delhi - 88.08

        3.    Indian Institute of Technology Bombay - 85.08

        4.    Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur - 82.18

        5.    Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur - 80.56

        6.    Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee - 76.29

        7.    Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati - 74.90

        8.    Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad - 66.44

        9.    National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli - 64.10

        10.  Indian Institute of Technology Indore - 62.88
