Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, is a Maharatna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Among India’s Electric power transmission utility it is the largest. In October 23, 1989 National Power Transmission Corporation Limited was formed under the Company’s Act, 1956. Within this short span of time, POWERGRID has achieved numbers of milestones.

POWERGRID has released a notification where they invite online applications from promising, energetic and bright candidates for APPRENTICESHIP FOR ONE YEAR DURATION for its North Eastern Region (NER) and Eastern Region - I.

This engagement of apprentices is under the apprentices act, 1961.

Online Registration of Application starts: 21.07.2021 (Wednesday)

Online Registration of Application ends: 20.08.2021 (Friday)

Eligibility Criteria:

Before applying, Candidates must go through the following eligibility criteria.  In the below mentioned cases, a student can‘t apply for the apprenticeship programme:

1. Awaiting the results of their final examination.
2. Not completed the 18 years of age
3. Undergone apprenticeship training in any organisation for any duration.
4. Job experience of more than 1 year

Selection Procedure:

1. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade
2. Through registered email shortlisted candidates will be intimated.
3. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for verification of documents.
4. Submission of medical certificate
